6 WBMO - Italian Dressing or Marinade



From member ........ If you enjoy the flavor of Italian dressing, make your own. I make mine and marinate raw asparagus, then throw it in a basket on the grill -- very tasty.

  • 1 cup vinegar 
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion 
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard 
  • 1 tablespoon basil (fresh is best, but dry is fine also) 
  • 2 tablespoons oregano 
  • 1 teaspoon pepper 
  • sugar substitute, to taste

Mix all ingredients and shake until well blended.
