From member ...... I tried many sauces and experimented with the maple extract to come up with this one. It is a staple in my fridge. I love to grill with it.
- 2 (8 oz) cans nsa tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons Splenda
- 2 teaspoons maple extract
- 6 capfuls Liquid Smoke
- garlic powder, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to just a boil. Then turn the heat down and simmer for 15 minutes. Enjoy! Use for dipping sauce, basting or mixing in with ground turkey or ground chicken.
This sauce should last at least 10 days in the fridge.
