6 WBMO - Baked Pears with Fruit Sauce

From member ..... An original recipe.  Elegant enough for company.  Serves 2.
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored and cut in half
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen whole raspberries (no sugar added)
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Splenda (or more to taste) 

Place cored and halved pears in baking dish.  (Can use 2 individual dishes if desired).  Mix Splenda and nutmeg.  Stir into raspberries.  Spoon ½ of berry mixture into hollow of pear half.  Put in microwave oven for 2-3 minutes or until pear is soft and raspberries have made syrup.  Enjoy!   You can also bake this traditionally in an oven for 30-40 minutes (or until pears are soft) at 400 degrees.
