6 WBMO - Granola


From member .... This tastes great over baked apples, as a topping for fruit, or the "ice cream" in the recipe cards! 

BMOS Note: If using this granola as a topping be sure to count the additional carbs. Also please bear in mind that regardless of how oatmeal is prepared, the measurement is taken as if the oats will be cooked conventionally, so that the normal portion of uncooked oats for a female of average height would be ¼ cup.


Heat oven to 275º F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paperSet aside.

Combine sugar substitute and water in a glass measuring cup. Heat slightly in microwave; add vanilla.

Pour mixture over oats in a large mixing bowl. Stir until thoroughly mixed (you may need to add some water). Spread onto cookie sheets and bake 45-60 minutes or until golden and crunchy.
