6 WBMO - Potato Latkes


From member ... For everyone out there who likes Jewish food.

BMOS Note: For most accurate portion control, we advise you to measure potatoes before mixing with other ingredients.
  • 1 lb potatoes
  • egg whites
  • ½ small onion
  • pepper
  • paprika

Finely grate potatoes. Press or squeeze potatoes to remove as much liquid and starch as possible. (Try putting the potatoes in a colander and pressing them, or pressing in paper towels.) Grate onion into potatoes. Add in egg whites, pepper and paprika. Mix thoroughly. Scoop out about ¼ cup, shape into a patty, and fry on each side until brown.
