Slow Cooker Lower Carb Cabbage Roll Stew

The following recipe I have NOT TRIED,, but after reading it I knew it could be made on plan. I am putting it up here. Plan changes are in Red. If anyone tries it please leave me a comment and let me know.

A serving size for A types is 1/2 cup or 2 - 3 ounces

Slow Cooker Lower Carb Cabbage Roll Stew

Sodium: If you use "no salt" added items for tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes & chicken/beef broth, it's 143mg sodium per serving.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef ( We can eat Beef or  USE TURKEY OR CHICKEN To stay healthier since Beef tends to stall)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes NSA
  • 1 14oz can low sodium (or no salt added) tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp worchestershire sauce ( Not sure of this but it is Minute so should be ok)
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth or beef broth ( NSA)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp hot chili flakes
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
Directions

In a medium pot, brown beef & onions. Place everything in slow cooker (except meat mixture and cabbage) and mix well. Add beef mixture, then cabbage. Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.
